PHP – Exploring the PHP Environment – HTML Embedding:

Funtamentals:

PHP is embedded within xhtml pages within the tags:  <?php … ?>

The short version of these tags can also be used: <? … ?>

Each line of PHP is terminated with a semi-colon.

Example:

print  ‘hello World!’;

?>
